Minnesota Comes to Colorado

Colorado 14ers are extremely excited to provide local hockey players with an incredible opportunity to be trained by Minnesota’s top High School Hockey coaches.

Head Instructor- Tracy Cassano-

Coach Cassano will be entering her 18th season as a Minnesota high school head girls’ hockey coach and her 21st season overall. She is currently the head Varsity coach for the Minnetonka Skippers. She has helped guide the Skippers to four straight State Tournament appearances, where her teams have placed 2nd, 3rd, 3rd and 4th places respectively. Coach Cassano holds the record for most wins by a female coach in Minnesota History. Coach Cassano’s players have excelled beyond the high school ranks; former players are having successful college careers at the following Division I schools:

University of Minnesota

Cornell University

Harvard

University of Minnesota Duluth,

Mankato State University

Sacred Heart

Boston University

University of St. Thomas

Bemidji State University

She has also watched her players compete at the National level, playing for Team USA at the U18, U22, and National Team levels.

Throughout her coaching career Cassano has appeared in Six State Tournaments, has been named Section Coach of the Year three times, has received the Section Excellence in Coaching Award three times and was named the Minnesota AA Coach of the Year in 2014. She is the longest tenured female head coach in the State of Minnesota for girls’ high school hockey.

Cassano serves as the Head Evaluation Coordinator for the Minnesota/USA Hockey High Performance Festival and Final 54 selection process for the 16’s age group. She has also been a Head Coach at the USA Hockey National Development Camps held in St. Cloud every summer, and she has served as one of the player Evaluators for the camps.

This four-day camp will bring the same exceptional formula that produces Minnesota’s elite level girls.

Our camp offers each player the opportunity to develop skills and reach their top potential. We pride ourselves in producing a fun, competitive and challenging hockey camp. Throughout the week, each player will be involved with strength training, speed training, balance work, core training, agility training, plyometrics, stretching techniques and much more.

Classroom Instruction- Each day, players will enter into the video breakdown side of the game.

Video tools will be used to teach important concepts ranging from D-zone coverage, gap control, zone entry, offensive production and many others.
