Littleton Hockey Association/Colorado 14ers Scholarship Program
GENERAL INFORMATION
The Littleton Hockey Association offers a Scholarship Program to support families and players who need financial assistance to participate in youth hockey. This program aims to promote the benefits of playing hockey by providing both full and partial scholarships to eligible applicants. The level of assistance varies annually and depends on the association's available funds and contributions from external donors.
LIMITATIONS
All scholarship awards will be applied as credit to the 14ers account and will not be disbursed in cash. These awards are designated solely for season fees and do not cover initial registration fees, travel expenses, team fees, or any other related costs. The LHA Administrative Board and LHA Scholarship Committee have full discretion over the distribution of awards. Applicants will be notified of their scholarship status via email by the LHA Scholarship Committee.
ELIGIBILITY
Scholarship applicants must meet the following requirements:
- The player must be registered with LHA Travel, Rec, or 8U Program and already have completed the registration process and paid the registration deposit for the upcoming season.
- The player must have completed at least one (1) full season with LHA. Families in their first season with LHA are not eligible to apply for a Scholarship.
- The player must be current on all previous dues and have no balance remaining for season fees, team fees, or other LHA events.
- The player must be in good standing with applicable leagues including CAHA and USA Hockey.
- The player must be committed to participating for the complete season for which they are applying.
- Parent(s)/Guardian(s) must be committed to volunteering for events and committees including but not limited to tournaments and other organizational functions.
PROCESS
The application for the scholarship can be found at the bottom of the page. In addition to the completion of the online form, applicants may submit via email required supporting documents to Scholarships@littletonhockey.org
DEADLINE
The deadline to submit a scholarship application is September 30th of the current season. After the deadline, the scholarship committee will review all applications. Applicants will be notified of the committee’s decisions once they are approved by the LHA Board of Directors. No money is awarded; scholarship funds are credited to the player's account.
