Girls Development Team Program Information

Mission

In accordance with the Colorado 14ers mission statement, the focus of the Colorado 14ers Girls Program is to provide an opportunity for female players in the Denver Metro Area to train and develop together in a full season program. By providing appropriate coaching, on and off ice training, and friendly competition it is our goal to prepare these players with the necessary skill set to help them reach their hockey goals.

 Competition

The Colorado 14ers 10U 12U 15U and 19U recreational teams will compete in the Colorado Girls Hockey League (CGHL) and the Colorado Recreational Hockey League (CRHL). The CRHL is a coed league that includes teams from all areas of Colorado. The 15U team will compete at the 14U level and the 19U team will compete at the 18U level. The CRHL is a no-check league and has two “seasons”. The first season is the tiering round and runs from September to November. The 14ers will have a random schedule of competition vs other CRHL programs. Following the tiering round, the league will split the teams into three divisions of like-ability. The remaining three months of the season will be played through Presidents Day. The CRHL Playoffs will be held the weekend after Presidents Day

8U female players will register with the Littleton Hawks and play on co-ed teams for the season. Female players will also have an additional practice during the season with the Colorado 14ers and play in a minimum of one jamboree as an all-female team.
